If you get stuck for ideas, try some of these links. Try doing drawings, paintings, scuptures and designs without worrying about how they fit in with what you are stuck on and you will find new ideas springing up.
Blank sheets of paper ARE scary - try starting sketchbooks on random pages. If you try to do a drawing on the first page, it might make you nervous about making a mess of it!
Observational drawing is always a useful starting point for projects - making things up from your head is really difficult.
Look at the work of artists and designers - see how you could improve on what they have done or use elements from their work in your own. See how they have solved the problems you are encountering.
