be creative!

In S2 you will build on the skills you have built up in critical lessons in S1 and during your end of lesson/unit discussions and evaluations.

You will study the work of the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists through the paintings of Monet and Van Gogh. You will learn how to structure an essay and will be tested on the knowledge you have gained.

If you want an idea of critical activity (art and design history) in 3rd year and beyond, check out this page for starters...

If this is an area you are interested in, there are plenty of programmes on BBC TV (BBC4 mainly), iPlayer and Channel4/4OD. If you have SkyArts there are often art and design programmes.

Also use the latest and blog links in the side menu to find all the latest updates from Twitter and various newspapers.
