new (and discontinued) courses in art + design!!! Grunfled "Buffalo Ostrich"

Paul Cezanne

last chance saloon!

Unfortunately our popular new Visual Arts Higher has been phased out, as has Advanced Higher Research and Appreciation.

Higher Visual Arts (individual units could still be taken if you enjoy the subject, and you will receive credit, however the UCAS point score will be lower and irrelevant for university entry in most cases. Very good for building an art college folio though)

Advanced Higher: Research and Appreciation (phased out as a full Advanced Higher, but something similar may appear in future years - individual units could still be taken if you enjoy the subject, however the UCAS point score will be lower)

The good news is, is that two students are trialling Higher PBNC Photography. This is a project based course that covers a variety of aspects of photographic practice, including camera techniques, reportage, digital imaging and research. Once we have been verified by the SQA, we may be able to offer this course to more students in the future.
